Team history

ATLANTIC RACING TEAM HISTORY AND CV:
* Founded in 1989 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
* ATL competed in Formula Ford, Formula 2000, Formula Renault 2.0L, and various
GT and Enduro series including with such brands as Datsun, Audi, VW and Marcos from 1989 onwards.
* 2002 to 2004, Formula Renault Championship (Fran-Am).
* 2004 ATL pioneered the FBMW Americas Championship with 4 cars.
* 2006 Competed in the Indy Pro Series with American, Robbie Pecorari.
* 2008 ATL repositioned itself competing in Canada, the US, Brazil and FBMW
Pacific (Asia). Profiled the then 14 year-old American/Columbian Gabby Chaves.
* 2009 to 2011 Active in the Pacific region as well as in Europe with the Mygale single seater.
* 2009 to 2012 ATL was also active in Formula Lista in Europe, co-operation with DALTEC Racing, Switzerland
* 2012 to 2014 ATL returned to Sedan racing in the Asian Blancpain Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series with 2 cars.
* 2014 to 2016 participated in the Asian LeMans Series as factory team in the CN Class with a WOLF GB08.
* 2013 to 2017 ATL operated a racing Academy for young racers with Formula BMW cars at AMP near Halifax.
* Principal owners are father and son, Rolf-Ingo Strackerjan (ex corporate pilot, endurance race driver), acting
team manager and Franz-Lucas Strackerjan (mech.Engineer, karter, Formula & GT race car driver,
owner of Kartbahn Racing), team lead engineer, respectively.
